Sam Nasseri is the original 'basketball
junkie'. Born Oct 2, 1981 in Luxembourg, he was introduced to basketball
when attending classes with Peter Rajniak (current NT member of LUX) in the 6th
grade. In 2002 after following closely the national league in his native country
of Luxembourg he began writing for
www.eurobasket.com on
the Luxembourg page for 1 year. With the extensive contacts he formed
during this time he began to help players in their career path and in particular
with coming and playing in Luxembourg. He placed his first player in 2003.
Organized his first Basketball Camp in Luxembourg in 2005 with Baseline Sports (Steve
Cronin). He followed that up in 2007 partnering with Ozell Wells and
Alexis Kreps for his second exposure camp. During this time Sam found his
passion and knew what he wanted to do....the question was, Who to do it with?
The answer appeared in the form of B3. Sam began working with
Basketball Beyond Borders in late 2005 as the
company's representative for Luxembourg and an advance
scout through Germany, Holland and Latvia.
He is currently studying at the
University of Luxembourg and travels abroad consistently to basketball
events in all over Europe (such as U20
European Championships, World Student Games, etc) looking for new talent.
He is also a correspondent for
www.basketnews.lu, the only basketball news site in Luxembourg. His
impact at B3 is apparent and he has been instrumental in the recruiting of
several B3 player such as Kevin Ratzsch, Richard Chaney, etc.
Speaks fluently English, French, German, Farsi, Luxembourgish.
Along with basketball Sam
enjoys the game of tennis and is currently a tennis player in the first
division in Luxembourg.
